XRP has already reached and exceeded $600,000 in trading volume only hours after it was relisted on Bitmart, a major cryptocurrency exchange. After Bitmart delisted XRP in the summer of 2021 during a legal dispute between Ripple and the SEC, XRP was allowed to trade on the exchange again after a legal battle.
U.S. customers cannot trade the sixth largest crypto asset by capitalization after its second appearance on the new “old” exchange.
XRP trading volumes on Bitmart place the exchange within the top 20 of all centralized crypto exchanges. However, it offers only one trading pair: USDT.
What’s the status of the data on the chain?
XRP’s performance hasn’t been significantly affected by the listing on a major exchange and the growing liquidity of XRP on centralized exchanges.
The number of XRP accounts on XRPL has surpassed the 4.5 million mark. More importantly, only 1,012 of them are empty, with the rest holding XRP.
While XRP Ledger activity is moderate, the number of daily transactions remains steady at 1.2 million, according to data, but the number of new accounts has dropped since mid-November.
