Floki’s official Twitter account @RealFlokiInu has announced the release of its first metaverse FLOKI NFT game, Valhalla, powered by FLOKI tokens.
In the meantime, FLOKI meme coin competitor SHIB released its game in September.
Launch of FLOKI Metaverse game
Valhalla has been released on Optimism Goerli, according to the tweet published today. It offers in-game characters called Vera, which are also non-fungible tokens, and is described as a “turn-based combat game” intended to test one’s tactical abilities.
All battles in this game are processed on blockchain too – the L2 Optimism Kovan Testnet.
A game designed to burn a lot of FLOKI coins
In the game’s whitepaper, it is also stated that Valhalla was designed to burn “a huge chunk of FLOKI tokens.” These tokens are meant to gradually be incorporated into the game’s ecosystem, where FLOKI is the primary currency. In-game tokens will be necessary to purchase in-game items. These in-game tokens will either be FLOKI or they will only be available to purchase with FLOKI.
Furthermore, spending FLOKI will make the game easier to play, increasing the utility and demand for this meme coin.
A social network for the SHIB army has been launched
FLOKI rival Shiba Inu has launched a social network for the SHIB army, where Shiba Inu fans can create content, communicate, share and exchange ideas on their favorite meme coins.
In the fall, Shiba Inu released Shiba Eternity, a collectible card game for mobile phones.
